CHI MODU X BUDXLAGOS

Born in Nigeria and raised in New Jersey, Chi Modu is a photojournalist whose work in the 90s played a crucial part in the documentation of Hip-Hop culture. His camera captured iconic images of Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, Snoop Dog, and more.

Melanin Unscripted in partnership with Budweiser curated Chi Modu’s homecoming experience in Nigeria on December 1st and 2nd, 2018 which featured an exhibition featuring some of his work, a masterclass for Nigerian creatives, and a mini concert featuring Ldipoe and Dremo and an afterparty DJ’d by MU founder, Amarachi Nwosu, Smallz the DJ, DJ Calix and more.
