Davido Talk at Columbia University

Davido’s Sophomore album “A Good Time” takes listeners on sonic journey through his life and touches on love, celebration, culture and community. Davido uses the phrase “A Good Time” to shine a positive light on African culture by creating a connotation using music as a vessel for impact and social change that enhances the image of Africa and the bridge between America. He wants to show despite the trials Africans face, they always know how to have a good time and celebrate life. Melanin Unscripted teamed up with Columbia University’s ASA and RCA records to curate and host a talk on this unique topic to breakdown and discuss how music is shaping the face of Africa.
