Ghana is Now

It is no doubt that Ghana is on the verge of a creative renaissance led by the youth spanning across fashion, music, visual art and more. For The Fader, Melanin Unscripted spoke with Amaarae, Joey Lit, Darkovibes, Kuukua Eshun, and Prince Gyasi about what it means to be a young creative in Ghana.

When I was 17, everybody was like Ooh, you have to make the local hiplife or local afrobeats because nobody is gonna listen to what you guys are on. Fast forward, five years later we are literally fueling the youth.”
